Andre is a NICU dad, entrepreneur, and journalist. He and Rachel spent 103 days at their son's bedside at Lurie Children's Hospital. That experience led them to build Roo and found Friends of Peanut. He oversees operations and product development.
Rachel is a NICU mom and civil engineer. After 103 days at their son's bedside, she and Andre built Roo and co-founded Friends of Peanut to help other families navigate the same journey. She oversees finances and ensures every program reflects what families actually need.
Amanda is a marketing strategist with experience across healthcare, public sector, and corporate communications. She oversees organizational records and advises on messaging, engagement, and growing awareness of Friends of Peanut.
Lily has spent her career in nonprofit operations, from managing donor databases to leading technical support teams. She advises on governance, compliance, and the organizational systems that keep Friends of Peanut running.
Dr. Kumar is an interventional cardiologist practicing in the Chicago suburbs. He brings a clinical lens to the board and advises on healthcare-related content and partnerships.
Nick is a software engineer with experience building large-scale consumer products. He advises on engineering, product architecture, and the technical direction of our digital resources.
Older sister, best friend, and the namesake of this organization.
